GOS Trust is a postgraduate teaching hospital, linked with the Institute of Child Health (ICH), which is our Postgraduate Medical School. ICH integrated with the United Medical and Dental School at University College London, in April 1996.
The Trust has 357 beds. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of paediatric specialties for tertiary level care. In association with the Institute of Child Health it has responsibility for Research, Development, Teaching and Training in all aspects of health and disease in children.
The cancer service for children and young people sees approximately 250 new patients aged 0- 12 yrs per year. It is the referral centre for the population of North London and surrounding regions and provides specialist cancer services for all infants in South East region of England. The centre provides the full range of specialist cancer services required for this age group, including haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, complex radiotherapy and surgery, access to early and late phase clinical trials and novel models of long term follow up.
